A Psychopathology could be defined as a set of problems, which result in causing significant difficulty, distress, impairment and/or suffering in a person’s daily life. As the quote above shows, a Psychopathology as an illness that disrupts normal physical or mental function, and it’s fair to say that Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder ticks all those criteria.

Looking at Psychopathology in little more detail, they are physical or mental conditions that disturb the regular or normal functions of everyday activities and day to day life. They can take up a lot of time and complicate the normal functioning of an individual.

Feelings of sadness, fearfulness, emptiness or hopelessness
Angry outbursts, irritability or frustration, even over small matters
Loss of interest or pleasure in most or all normal activities, such as sex, hobbies or sports
Sleep disturbances, including insomnia or sleeping too much
Tiredness and lack of energy, so even small tasks take extra effort
Reduced appetite and weight loss or increased cravings for food and weight gain
Anxiety, agitation, restlessness, slowed thinking, speaking or body movements
Feelings of worthlessness or guilt, fixating on past failures or self-blame
Trouble thinking, concentrating, making decisions and remembering things

Psychosis
